If you are looking to visit a city in Ontario, Canada that is loaded with lots of activities, fine restaurants and pubs and amenities to keep you and your family busy during the trip, then St. Catharines is a must try. I am glad that I took a family vacation to this wonderful and bustling city. The sights and sounds of St. Catharines that interested me are discussed below.
- 13th Street Winery
If you are looking to taste some of the exotic and bespoke wines like Chardonnay or other sparkling wines, then never miss a tour of the 13th Street Winery. This winery is a great attraction for it boasts of the best landscape and serene surroundings. There are plenty of wine samples offered at the tasting bar and being a wine lover, I completely enjoyed every minute that I spent here.
- Lakeside Park
This is a park where you can spend the whole day with your family. It offers plenty of activities and attractions for family members like a waterfront, a playground, picnic spots, an attractive beach, and a merry-go-round. I loved the time I spent at this park as it offered me great relaxation and mouthwatering foods.
- Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm
Being an animal lover, I decided to visit this animal farm. I would like to tell you that this was the most memorable experience of my trip to St. Catharines. This farm is spread over 15 acres on the Lake Ontario shores. The ponds adjacent to the farm are filled with geese, ducks, and other birds. A large playground along with two ponds and the wide range of animal life in a natural habitat is a sight to behold with your eyes.
- St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
The canal is the most popular place to watch the big ships sailing through it. They can be viewed from the Lock View Lounge on the 2nd floor or from the observation deck. Apart from this, the center has a museum where a lot of exhibits that talk about the local history are kept.
