Burlington is a beautiful and compact city which offers the best art scene, education, creative entrepreneurship and outdoor recreation spots. Church Street is one of the famous streets takes for you to the close by the waterfront and lakeside parks, excursion boats, and walking trail connecting to the Lake Champlain Islands. The city also has beautiful galleries and museums to keep visitors and residents engaged here throughout the year. It is a city with a perfect mix of old New England’s charm, culture, nature, and arts. It is situated on the Lake Champlain shores between the Green and Adirondack mountains. The streets of the city come alive, especially during summer and spring with festivals, events, and outdoor concerts.
Burlington Bike Path
During the fall, the Burlington Bike Path bustles with leaf peepers as they visit here to check out the bright colors of autumn. As I love ice skating, in the winters, I lace up my ice skates and walk towards the Paquette Arena to reach the close by resorts. If you are planning a visit to Burlington, don’t forget to carry your bike. Well, if you don’t have one or miss carrying yours, you can just rent one by the hour.
If you are planning a visit to Burlington, Waterfront Park is a must visit as you will find beautiful green space towards the border of Lake Champlain. There is a marina area wherein one can enjoy the sign of beautiful boats. My favorite time is an early evening as I love watching the sunset here.
Regardless of my busy work schedule, I ensure that every Saturdays I visit the Burlington’s Farmers Market as I love wandering to peruse the local crafts and foods. You will find a vast variety of products that are locally grown. Many people, including tourists, enjoy visiting this market to shop, relax and for some fun time.
