The Bar Harbor is one of the most visited towns on Mount Desert Island. It is along Frenchman Bay of Maine. I was thinking plan a vacation in Bar Harbor, and finally got the time to explore the city. Here I am sharing my experience with the city. Bar Harbor is like the gateway to green valleys, mountains, and cliffs of the adjacent Acadia National Park. To have a mesmerizing view of the town, climb on the Cadillac Mountain to have the look of the beautiful view of trails and city, the Cranberry Islands and the bay. But, your trip to Bar Harbor does not end here, the place has many more things to offer, and like me, you would not be able to stop exploring it.
- Cadillac Mountain
It is the top point in Hancock Country. The mountain is present on the Mount Desert Island. In the US this is the first place to watch the sunrise, but you can enjoy here the beautiful sunset as well. This is the classic picnic spot as well. If you have come with family, this is the best place.
This site should be the in your must visit place list as it offers you lots of attraction. The place is surrounded by the beautiful lush green area surrounding the lake. The lake has clean and clear water and provides a mesmerizing look during the evening. This is an unforgettable place to visit.
- Thunder Hole
This is another spectacular site in Bar Harbor that you would undoubtedly enjoy. This is a natural hole in the sea, where waves crash. The crash of waves produces the sound of thunder and high flying foam. At spot has comfortable and safe to enjoy this thunder hole. I stood there for hours to check the beauty of this place.
- Abbe Museum
In addition to parks, mountains, and terrains, Bar Harbor has museums for museum lovers. The Abbe Museum is the biggest one here. The museum has a vast collection of culture and history. The museum is best for children and adults.
Additionally, you can visit bubble rock overlook, Asticou Azalea Garden, Sargent Mountain, etc.
